How to book a consultation?

What consultation process will be like?

A one to one consultation is an hour session (90 minutes for parents of multiples).

Prior to consultation you will receive an email with a summary of what to expect during the session, address and directions, link to a short questionnaire that I will ask you to fill out prior to our appointment, an invoice to pay for the consultation

During the consultation I will provide you with a choice of carriers and slings to try. Those will be picked specifically for you based on the information provided by you in the questionnaire. Once you’ve decided which of the carriers works best for you we will work on making sure you are confident and happy to use it. We will discuss safety and all other questions you might have for me

As a prat of the consultation you will be able to hire the sling you liked the most for a week free of any extra charge

After the consultation you will receive an email talking you through main points we discussed at the consultation. Provide you with any additional information we might not had time to cover. Links to video tutorial for use of the carrier of your choice. And finally a little guide for you to refer to for some main babywearing matters.

What is a sling library?

Sling library is a place where you can learn more about, try, and hire different carriers and slings. At a sling library you can get help with a carrier you already have. You can hire a carrier you’d like to try out. And a place you can get help with any babywearing questions you might have. 

It is run on a monthly basis every first Wednesday of a month, 11am till 1pm, at Banchory West Church. 

Can I hire slings only at the sling library meeting?

No. You sling hire available through out the year. If you hire out with sling library meeting times it will be in a format of a door step hire. You will be able to collect the carrier you would like to hire directly from me. Unfortunately no fitting advice can be provided at this stage.

Which service is best for me?

Depending on your circumstances you can opt for either option. Over all if you are new parent or completely new to babywearing, would like an individually tailored advice with plenty of time to go through all the aspects of using a carrier or sling of your choice – one to one consultation is preferable. You might prefer a consultation also if you would like to learn new skill like back carry or use of a woven wrap.

Go for a sling library if you would like to see what options are out there, browse carriers at your own pace. Or you might already know what you would like to try and hire.

Fit check is where you have a carrier or a sling and would like a babywearing professional to give your use of it a look over and comment and advice if and where needed.

Door step or postal hire is best when you already know what you need and just would like to hire with no extra help.

Does time of postage included into the postal hire period?

Transit time for the parcel is not included into your hire period. Hire period starts on the day you received your hire and you are expected to post it back on the last day or exactly the day after the hire period is over.
